Mission of the AAIB – to promote aviation safety through the conduct of independent and objective investigations into air accidents and incidents that is in line with the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
As an independent investigation authority, the Air Accident Investigation Bureau of Singapore (AAIB) is responsible for the investigation of air accidents and serious incidents in Singapore involving both local and foreign commercial aircraft. The AAIB also participates in overseas investigations of accidents and serious incidents involving Singapore aircraft or aircraft that is managed by a Singapore operator.

This aviation safety programme is a voluntary, non-punitive confidential incident reporting system that provides a channel for the reporting of aviation incidents and safety deficiencies while protecting the reporter’s identity.
