Organisational Structure
Divisions:
Air Transport
The Air Transport division oversees the planning and development of civil aviation policies in Singapore with two strategic outcomes in mind: to strengthen Singapore’s status as a leading aviation hub, as well as to strengthen our country’s strategic influence at international organisations and fora.
Land Transport
The Land Transport division oversees land policies which strive to maintain a quality and efficient land transport system - one which is affordable, efficient and accessible to the public, and one which ensures smooth flowing traffic on the roads.
Sea Transport
The Sea Transport division oversees the following three key policy areas: enhancing Singapore’s position as a premier hub port, developing Singapore into an International Maritime Centre (IMC), and protecting the security of our port and sea lanes.
International Relations and Security
The International Relations and Security division co-ordinates and aligns MOT’s international relations engagement efforts with those of other government agencies so as to develop holistic transport strategies and policies. It also ensures the readiness of other transport agencies in the event of crises.
Corporate Communications
The Corporate Communications division oversees the strategic and marketing communications functions. The division works with other policy divisions within the Ministry and its statutory boards to inform and educate the public on policies related to air, land and sea transport. The division also serves as the Ministry's interface with the public by managing its corporate website and feedback channels.
Corporate Development
The Corporate Development division develops MOT, together with its statutory boards, as an Organisation of Excellence with best practices, and with the ability to plan and use resources optimally for the attainment of transport policy goals.
Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB)
AAIB is responsible for the investigation of air accidents and serious incidents to Singapore and foreign civil aircraft in Singapore. It also participates in overseas investigations of accidents and serious incidents involving Singapore aircraft or aircraft operated by a Singapore air operator.
