Planning Your Journey

Real-time Travel Information

planning your journey page content 1

In line with our vision to develop a commuter-centric public transport system, LTA has launched several public transport travel information initiatives to help commuters better manage their waiting time and transfers to make more informed travel decisions.

The MyTransport.sg portal and mobile application provide a Journey Planner, interactive maps, fare calculators as well as real-time bus arrival information, to help commuters plan their journeys. Real-Time bus arrival information is also available through bus panels at selected bus stops, and other third-party mobile applications.

Integrated Transport Hubs

LTA has embarked on a programme to build more integrated public transport hubs. These hubs combine air-conditioned bus interchanges and rail stations with retail and commercial areas.

The integrated transport hubs (ITHs) will provide added convenience as commuters can shop and dine before transferring to their connecting bus or train.

At present, there are nine integrated transport hubs - Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Boon Lay, Bukit Panjang, Clementi, Joo Koon, Sengkang, Serangoon and Toa Payoh where the rail station, bus interchanges and adjoining commercial developments are fully integrated to improve connectivity and comfort for commuters. Yishun ITH will open in 2019.

ITHs are being planned for and will be built in tandem with redevelopment in the respective areas. This is to better integrate our transport hubs with the surrounding facilities.

As we develop more integrated transport hubs, we will also look into introducing more retail spaces to inject buzz into these transport nodes. These places will be transformed into lifestyle hubs, making them fun and exciting places and accessible meeting points. Besides bus interchanges, such lifestyle hubs can also be found at underground MRT stations like Raffles Place and Tanjong Pagar stations.
