To meet increasing travel demand in future, a higher proportion of our travel needs will have to be met by public transport. It is therefore vital to make public transport a choice mode of transport for Singaporeans.
The Land Transport Master Plan 2013 set out goals to be achieved by 2030. A key goal is to increase the peak hour public transport mode share to 75%.
We are on track to meet this target as we crossed 67% last year.
