Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Minister for Transport

a.          what is the number of Vehicle Parking Certificate (VPC) scheme lodgements for overnight parking of heavy vehicles that were made under the alternative scheme which took effect from 15 September 2026;

b.          whether any lodgements were unsuccessful; and

c.           if so, why.

Reply by Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow

1.          As of 26 October 2026, more than 650 overnight parking arrangements for heavy vehicles have been successfully lodged with the Land Transport Authority.

2.          Unsuccessful lodgements were mainly due to the vehicle owners’ unfamiliarity with the lodgement service, resulting in duplicate, inaccurate, or incomplete applications.
