Appointment of Board Members for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore

1.     The Minister for Transport, Mr S Iswaran, has appointed 12 persons to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Board for a period of three years from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024. The Board will continue to be chaired by Mr Edmund Cheng and will comprise members from relevant sectors such as aerospace engineering, logistics and freight forwarding, finance and investments, legal, technology, as well as the union. 

2.     Of the 12 members, three are newly appointed. They are: 

Professor Lam Khin Yong, 蓝欽揚
Senior Vice President (Research), Nanyang Technological University

Mr Richard Magnus
Chairman, Public Transport Council 

Ms Christina Ong, 韩贵凤
Chairman and Senior Partner, Allen & Gledhill LLP

3.     The following members will step down from the CAAS Board with effect from 1 July 2021:

4.     The Ministry of Transport would like to thank the outgoing members for their contributions to CAAS. We would like to extend a special acknowledgement to Professor Wee and Ms Choo for their leadership and guidance as Chair-persons of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Investment Committee, respectively.
