Assoc Prof Jamus Jerome Lim asked the Minister for Transport

a.           whether LTA has assessed coverage for Buangkok and other parts of Sengkang that are not served by Services 654, 671, 677 or 682; and

b.           if so, whether LTA will consider introducing an additional City Direct route to serve these areas.

1.          City Direct Services provide an alternative travel option for some commuters to the city centre. To ensure that they are well utilised, City Direct Services operate routes with high peak demand and where it is possible to offer competitive travel times to rail; they are not intended to serve all areas.
