Assoc Prof Jamus Jerome Lim asked the Minister for Transport whether, in dense towns such as Sengkang with limited open-air carparks, the Ministry will consider designating suitable public road bridges for overnight parking of tall commercial vehicles owned or operated by residents of these towns.

Reply by Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow

1.          The Government will consider the suggestion bearing in mind disamenities to nearby residences, road safety, traffic conditions and structural capacity.
