Expected Off-Peak Travel Take-Up Rate in Light of Free Off-Peak Travel Commencing

Ms Poh Li San asked the Acting Minister for Transport regarding free off-peak travel for North-East Line and Sengkang-Punggol Light Rail Transit commencing 27 December 2025

a.     what is the expected take-up rate of off-peak travel;

b.     whether additional resources will be required for SBS Transit to support higher commuter traffic before 7.30am; and

c.     what is the expected revenue leakage annually and whether this is sustainable in the long run.
