Written Reply to Parliamentary Question

Dr Neo Kok Beng asked the Minister for Transport whether the Ministry will consider requiring all cyclists to know the Highway Code of Singapore.

Reply by Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow:

1.             Mandatory licensing, a theory test or mandatory knowledge of the Highway Code for on-road cyclists of non-motorised devices, is currently not required. The Government will continue to review the need for such measures.
