Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan asked the Minister for Transport when will LTA be rolling out the active mobility paths within Boon Lay constituency (Boon Lay and Jurong West) and when will the path connection to the adjacent Jurong Lake District Development be carried out.
Reply by Senior Minister of State for Transport Dr Lam Pin Min:
1. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will construct dedicated cycling path networks (CPNs) in all HDB towns by 2030. We have built CPNs in nine towns and will do so in another six towns by 2023. CPNs in the remaining towns, including in Boon Lay and Jurong West, will be ready after 2023. We will keep in mind Mr Tay’s suggestion to connect the CPN in Boon Lay and Jurong West to that in Jurong Lake District.
