Plans for BlueSG's EV Charging Points in Light of Winding Down

Written Reply to Parliamentary Question

Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Acting Minister for Transport given the winding down of BlueSG's operations

a.     whether the Ministry is in discussions with BlueSG regarding its network of electric vehicle (EV) charging points;

b.     whether the winding down will cause an impact on the Government's goal to deploy 60,000 EV charging points across Singapore by 2030; and

c.     if so, what steps will the Ministry take to mitigate this impact.

Reply by Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow:

1.     EV charging points in HDB estates previously used by BlueSG vehicles are still available for public use. LTA is discussing with the current operator as well as other alternative operators on the continued operation of the charging points for public use.

2.     We remain on track to achieve our target of 60,000 charging points by 2030.
