Press Release on One-Stop Security Arrangement

1. The Singapore Ministry of Transport (MOT) and Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of European Commission (EC DG-MOVE) will be effecting the implementation of a new One Stop Security (OSS) arrangement for flights from Europe and Singapore connecting through some European airports and Singapore Changi Airport from 6 February 2018.
2. The joint statement for the OSS arrangement was signed in Singapore on 6 February 2018 at the sidelines of the Singapore Airshow 2018 by Mr Loh Ngai Seng, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Singapore, and Mr Henrik Hololei, Director-General, Directorate-General of Mobility and Transport, European Commission.
3. This OSS arrangement will improve transfer connections made by passengers at the respective airports and increase the efficiency of airline an airport operations. These will bring benefits to air travellers, business and industry stakeholders, flying between Singapore and Europe.
4. This OSS arrangement also affirms the commitment between Singapore and the European Commission to strengthen international co-operation to enhance civil aviation security as well as passenger, airline and airport facilitation in line with relevant international standards.
