Processing Time for Applications to Convert Trailer Lots to Heavy Vehicle Lots

Written Reply to Parliamentary Question 

Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Acting Minister for Transport

a.      what is the anticipated processing time for applications to convert licensed trailer lots to licensed heavy vehicle (HV) lots;

b.      whether such applications can be expedited; and

c.      how many HV lots can each trailer lot possibly yield.

Reply by Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow: 

1.     Applications are processed in three to five working days after the complete submission of required documents.

2.      The conversion of a trailer lot to a HV lot depends on the configuration of the parking lot and heavy vehicle park. Typically, one licensed trailer lot can be converted to one HV lot.
