The Singapore Ministry of Transport is looking towards establishing travel arrangements without the need for quarantine or stay-home notice with countries and regions which have successfully controlled the pandemic, through surveillance and testing, contact tracing and social distancing measures. Vaccination offers a further means of bringing down COVID-19 infection rates.
A no-regret first step is to start discussions on mutual recognition of vaccination certification, at the International Civil Aviation Organisation, as well as bilaterally. These discussions will take some time, as most places have only just started vaccinations and looking into certifications.
We will provide further updates at appropriate junctures when significant progress has been made with our partner countries or regions.
