1. Since the onset of COVID-19, strict safe management measures (including regular cleaning and disinfection) have been put in place and routine testing carried out. Following the previous Bus Interchange clusters, the public transport operators (PTOs) have also strengthened their contingency plans to address possible COVID-19 scenarios.
2. With the rise in community infections, while there has been a slight increase in COVID-19 cases among our public transport workers, there has been no major impact on public transport operations so far.
3. LTA and the PTOs are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to maintain our vigilance to ensure public transport workers and commuters are kept safe, and disruption minimised.
4. However, should the numbers of cases climb further, commuters may see an increase in waiting times for some bus services. LTA and PTOs will keep the public updated if service adjustments need to be made. Public is advised to use the MyTransport app to plan their journeys.
