1. Minister for Education (Schools) and Second Minister for Transport Mr Ng Chee Meng will be making a working visit to Leipzig, Germany, from 30 May to 2 June 2017, to participate in the International Transport Forum 2017 Summit. [1]
2. Minister Ng will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Transport.
[1] The International Transport Forum (ITF) is an inter-governmental organisation with 57 member countries under the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). It is based in Paris and acts as a think tank for transport policy. The ITF Summit, usually held in Leipzig, is an annual event bringing together transport ministers, business and civil society leaders, as well as top academics from OECD and non-OECD countries, to exchange views on strategies for transport in the 21st century.
