Senior Minister of State for Transport Dr Lam Pin Min to Attend the International Maritime Organization World Maritime Day Parallel Event in Cartagena, Colombia

1. Senior Minister of State for Transport and Health Dr Lam Pin Min will lead the Singapore delegation to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) World Maritime Day 2019 Parallel Event, to be held from 14 to 17 September 2019 in Cartagena, Colombia. SMS Dr Lam will thereafter make a working visit to Panama.
2. During his visit, SMS Dr Lam will meet his counterparts to exchange views on transport developments and explore opportunities for deeper transport co-operation internationally. He will also meet with the IMO Secretary-General, Mr Kitack Lim, to discuss developments in the maritime sector.
3. SMS Dr Lam will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, and Enterprise Singapore.
