Mr Jackson Lam asked the Minister for Transport

a.          how many eligible Singapore-registered vehicles have yet to be fitted with an ERP 2 On-Board Unit, with a breakdown by vehicle type;

b.          how many foreign-registered vehicles have been fitted since 1 April 2026; and

c.           what is the cost of removing or modifying the 95 ERP gantries.

Reply by Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow

1.          As of October 2026, about 12,000 Singapore-registered vehicles not exempted from On-Board Unit (OBU) installation have yet to be fitted. 90% are passenger cars and motorcycles, with goods vehicles, buses, and other vehicle types comprising the remainder. More than 26,000 foreign-registered vehicles have been fitted with an OBU.

2.          The contract for the removal and modification works of the 95 ERP gantries was awarded at about S$6 million.
