Statistics for Incidents and Accidents Involving PMDs And PABs

Written Reply to Parliamentary Question

Mr Ng Chee Meng asked the Acting Minister for Transport from 2023 to 2025, what is the number of personal mobility aids (PMA), personal mobility devices (PMD) or power-assisted bicycles (PAB) related incidents on (i) pedestrian walkways (ii) shared pathways and (iii) the roads that caused grievous injuries.

Reply by Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow:

1.          There were around 710 reported accidents involving PMAs, PMDs or PABs that resulted in injuries from 2023 to Q3 2025. Approximately 590 were on the roads. About 120 were off-road, inclusive of public paths.
