Mr Melvin Yong Yik Chye asked the Minister for Transport

a.          whether an update can be provided on the finalisation of the design and implementation approach for differentiated licence plates for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles following the stakeholder engagement conducted earlier this year; and

b.           when the Ministry expects these differentiated licence plates to be rolled out.

1.          Based on public feedback from engagements conducted earlier this year, the Land Transport Authority and the Singapore Civil Defence Force are studying additional options for the differentiated licence plate designs for electric vehicles and plug-in electric vehicles.
