Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Minister for Transport

a.          whether the Ministry has data on the breakdown of the utilisation rates of electric vehicle charging points at petrol kiosks relative to public car parks over the past three years; and

b.           if not, whether the Ministry will consider collecting or tracking such data.

Reply by Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow

1.          In 2025, EV chargers at petrol kiosks were used for around 4.5 hours a day on average, compared to around 3.5 hours a day at public carparks. From January to August 2026, EV chargers were utilised on average for about 5 hours a day for both petrol kiosks and public carparks.
