Mr Ang Wei Neng asked the Minister for Transport
a. whether Singapore has been informed of Malaysia's intention to build a third road link to Singapore; and
b. whether Singapore needs a third road link and, if so, what are the possible locations.
Reply by Minister for Transport Khaw Boon Wan:
1. Singapore has not received any official proposal or communications from Malaysia related to the construction of any new road link between Singapore and Malaysia.
2. Singapore’s priority is to focus on existing bilateral projects with Malaysia as well as easing congestion at our land checkpoints.
