Written Reply to Parliamentary Question on Reliability of ERP 2.0 On-Board Units Installed

Ms He Ting Ru asked the Minister for Transport
a. for each month in 2024 to date, how many units of ERP 2.0 On-Board Units (OBU) have been installed;
b. how many of these units have been found to be faulty and needed servicing;
c. how many of these units have required replacement; and
d. how many instances have there been where individual parts of the OBU have been replaced.
Reply by Minister for Transport Chee Hong Tat:
1. Since November 2023, about 130,000 vehicles have been fitted with the ERP 2.0 On-Board Units. Fewer than 1 per cent required further servicing or component replacement. The Land Transport Authority will continue to work with our partners to provide a smooth installation for motorists.
