The Transport Safety Investigation Bureau of Singapore (TSIB) will be hosting the Sixth International Accident Investigation Forum (the Forum) from 21 to 23 May 2025. The inaugural International Accident Investigation Forum (IAI Forum) was held in 2010 and has been conducted triennially thereafter.
Since its inception, the IAI Forum continues to receive strong support from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), the International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI), the Flight Safety Foundation (FSF), and Curt Lewis and Associates. The Forum aims to bring together the world’s government investigation officials and experts to discuss issues relating to the organisation, infrastructure, and management of accident investigation.
The Forum will be held at One Farrer Hotel, Singapore.
Amidst the evolving needs and challenges of accident investigation that come along with the development and changing landscape of the aviation industry, the Forum will explore ways to enhance the competency of investigators and improve the effectiveness of investigation processes.
Drawing on lessons learnt from recent investigations and leveraging emerging technologies, the Forum will focus on anticipating future challenges, utilising advanced investigations tools, and improving the management of the vast information gathered during investigations.
The Forum is expected to cover the following topics, among others:
The Forum is open to investigation officials responsible for discharging their State/Administration’s obligation under Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, regulatory officials and safety professionals from the aviation industry.
Details of the programme will be made available soon.
Participants may register for the Forum now. The Forum organiser will contact you upon successful registration for the event. The deadline for registration is 30 April 2025.
